Finding a new job in a country where you do not speak the language and are about to have a baby turns out to be not the easiest thing. Not really a huge surprise.
Enter conversation with husband: fast forward nine months and Jesse will become the main income earner for our family. Essentially decision equals = jump start this scenario now.
I know many mamas-to-be work full time, or part time, or juggle already-kids at home, so this kind of luxurious freedom in my schedule is something I am devouring like it's my last (it probably is - hello motherhood in four months).
So while trying to negotiate ultrasounds and blood tests with Japanese speaking doctors, being away from family, finding hospitals and insurance etc., has not been easy, I have to say, I am incredibly grateful. Both for our growing family and this opportunity that has presented itself.
I know there is no right way of doing things and every family situation is different, but I'd love to know how you did things, or plan on doing things. How was your experience finding your feet in pregnancy? What challenges did you face?

This makes me so sad. I wanna be there doing it with you in some minutely small way. Stop growing a baby without me!!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely feeling that love there, Jess!!!! Missing you right back to you!!
